The Peoples Festival
was born from the love shared between two friends and their families. Ibis Pitts and Bob Marley lived and worked in Wilmington, DE. This tribute to Bob fulfilled Ibis' desire to do something meaningful to allow Bob's message to live on.
Our mission is to foster and promote cultural diversity through music, the arts and educational programs for the purpose of creating peace, unity and one love in our communities; as we were inspired by our beloved friend and bredren, the honorable, Robert Nesta Marley, O.M.
Our list of productions include: The Cultural Expo, Cinco de Mayo Celebration, The Miss Mexico Pageant, Mexican Independence and Kwanzaa, among others.
The Annual Peoples Festival 4Peace & Tribute to Bob Marley, is a family-friendly place where people of all economic, cultural, religious, educational and social backgrounds can gather to celebrate Bob’s legacy of peace, unity and one love.
